Rev. Brandan Robertson is a noted author, activist, and public theologian working at the intersections of spirituality, sexuality, and social renewal. He serves as Pastor of Sunnyside Reformed Church in New York City and is the founder of The Devout Foundation. Known widely as the “TikTok Pastor,” his inclusive theological content has reached over 300k followers and 10 million viewers.
Robertson has authored, edited, or contributed to 23 books on spirituality, justice, and theology, including True Inclusion, an INDIES Book of the Year Award finalist. His work has appeared in TIME Magazine, The Huffington Post, NBC, The Washington Post, and more, and he is a regular columnist for Baptist News Global, the Los Angeles Blade, and Progressing Spirit. Rolling Stone recognized him in its 2021 “Hot List” of top creatives shaping the future.
A sought-after speaker, Robertson has presented at The White House, Westminster Abbey, Oxford University, and the Parliament of World Religions, and taught seminars for leading theological institutions. He has served on advisory committees for the Democratic National Convention, U.S. State Department, and Health and Human Services.
A leading voice for LGBTQ+ inclusion, he has worked globally to end conversion therapy and expand rights for sexual and gender minorities.
