Rev. Thomas L. Bowen served as Senior Advisor for Public Engagement at the Biden White House, leading faith-based outreach. A longtime Washington, DC leader, he previously directed African American and religious affairs for Mayor Muriel Bowser and is known as “DC’s Pastor.” An ordained Baptist minister and Morehouse graduate, he has served since 2002 as Minister of Social Justice at Shiloh Baptist Church and has held national roles advocating for justice and children’s rights.
